2009

Rock and roll never has, and never will, betray me. Happy new year.

Grizzly Man Goes Into The Wild

I am fairly certain that when a wild animal is eating one alive, and you are screaming and struggling in agony before unconsciousness, then death, arrives, the animal is unconcerned by the presence of your divine soul or spirit, or the lack thereof.

Some thoughts on Jesus

When overwhelmed by despair, remember that Jesus died
because someone killed him.

SNL should be euthanized

I seem to be being drawn to steampunk.

Today is Thursday

Most days aren't bad. There aren't many great days.

Some thoughts

One can have thoughts that should not be expressed in any fashion. The universe will survive.

Sarah Palin...OK, this is too easy

Concerning the debate, Palin proved that she can pull an all-nighter. She still cannot construct a sentence worthy of an adult, or a sixth grader.

driving

If your headlights illuminate the interior of the car ahead of you, you are being a nuisance and probably should just go home.

shopping carts

How lazy do you have to be to leave your shopping cart in a parking spot? How fat does your ass have to be that you cannot walk 50, 75, 100 much needed feet of exercise?

Movie

I'd like to "star" in a movie titled "Decidedly Unattractive".

Greed is good.

The Republicans were in charge in the 80's and we had a savings and loan meltdown.

The Republicans are in charge now and we've had a mortgage lending meltdown.

As I've always said, capitalism has no conscience.

Monday, July 14, 2008

I used to have a semi-humorous, mildly disparaging comment about certain people that ran something like this:
"(Insert name) is an idiot, and he/she has the tatoos to prove it."
Then society caught up with me.

Death wasn't good enough for Leona

Leona Helmsley has left between $5 billion and $8 billion for the care of dogs. Madness on this scale is always breathtaking. Much like their fellow lunatics at the NRA, PETA acolytes are now whirling in a Dervish trance over their good fortune.

What possesses one to leave money to animals? How does this become one's highest priority? Do other countries have an expression for this peculiarly American affliction? Or do they just vomit in disbelief?

There must be a cancer ward or burn unit, perhaps even one for children, that could use a billion or two.

Someone said, "You know what's out of fashion? Rice cakes."

Maybe people got tired of eating crunchy air.

Xbox Live and anger management are, apparently, incompatible. As is a respectable command of the English language. Or social skills.

Has Scalia been clinically diagnosed with megalomania? Why not?
Undoubtably, the pinheads of the NRA are flouncing thru the streets in celebration of the misbegotten decision of the Supreme Court to allow handguns to proliferate even further into American life.

No. 1

I always enjoy a sight gag that ends with a bird exploding in a puff of feathers.
